Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset For embedded computing
The mobile Intel® GM45 Express chipset provides outstanding flexibility for developers of embedded applications by offering excellent graphics, memory and I/O bandwidth, as well as remote asset management capabilities, storage speed and reliability.
Features include an improved integrated graphics engine, up to 1066 MHz front-side bus (FSB), DDR2 or DDR3 system memory controller, and support for Intel® Active Management Technology¹ (Intel® AMT), Intel® Trusted Execution Technology (Intel® TXT), and Intel® Matrix Storage Technology.² The I/O Controller Hub (ICH) delivers outstanding system performance through high-bandwidth interfaces including PCI Express*, Serial ATA, and USB 2.0.
The chipset addresses requirements of a broad range of embedded applications such as interactive clients, gaming platforms and industrial automation equipment. It consists of the Intel® GM45 Graphics Memory Controller Hub (GMCH), and the Intel® I/O Controller Hub 9M, available in two SKUs. The I/O Controller Hub (ICH) delivers outstanding system performance through high-bandwidth interfaces including PCI Express, Serial ATA, and USB 2.0.
The mobile Intel GM45 Express chipset is designed for and validated with the Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T9400Δ based on 45nm process technology. This platform is part of Intel's comprehensive validation process, which enables rapid deployment and helps developers maximize competitive advantage and minimize development risks.

¹ Intel® Active Management Technology requires a system with a Mobile Intel® GM45 Express chipset, Intel® PRO/1000 PM network connection and appropriate third-party software. The system must be plugged into a power source and connected to a LAN.
² Intel® Matrix Storage Technology requires a motherboard with the Intel® 82801IR (ICH9R) I/O Controller Hub System. The system must also have the RAID controller in the BIOS enabled and the Intel Matrix Storage Technology software driver installed. Please consult your system vendor for more information.
