This document, the Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor with 512-KB L2 Cache on 0.13 Micron Process Thermal Design Guide; Supporting the Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor with Hyper-Threading Technology†, provides an understanding of the thermal characteristics and thermal requirements imposed on single processor systems. These guidelines apply to the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor at 3.06 GHz or higher. † Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology (Intel® HT Technology) requires a computer system with an Intel® Processor supporting Intel HT Technology and an Intel HT Technology enabled chipset, BIOS, and operating system.
