Intel® 3010 ChipsetOverview

The Intel® 3000 and 3010 Chipsets are designed for use with Intel® Xeon® 3000 Sequence, Intel® Pentium® 4 processor 600 Sequence, Intel® Pentium® D processor 800 Sequence and 900 Sequence, and Intel® Celeron® D, in the LGA775 package in entry-level UP server platforms. The chipset contains two components: Memory Controller Hub (MCH) and Intel® I/O Controller Hub 7 (ICH7). The MCH provides the interface to the processor, main memory, PCI Express*, and the ICH7. The ICH7 is the seventh generation I/O Controller Hub and provides a multitude of I/O related functions.
Intel® 3000 Chipset supports one PCI Express x8 port. Intel® 3010 Chipset supports two PCI Express x8 ports or one PCI Express x16 port.

◊1 Look for systems with the Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor supporting Hyper-Threading Technology logo and also including an Intel® 925, 915, or 910 Express Chipset (see the product spec sheet or ask your salesperson). Performance and functionality will vary depending on (i) the specific hardware and software you use and (ii) the feature enabling/system configuration by your system vendor. See www.intel.com/products/ht/hyperthreading_more.htm for information on HT Technology or consult your system vendor for more information.
◊2 Intel® Matrix Storage Technology requires a motherboard with the Intel® 82801IR (ICH9R) I/O Controller Hub System. The system must also have the RAID controller in the BIOS enabled and the Intel Matrix Storage Technology software driver installed. Please consult your system vendor for more information.
◊3 Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT) requires the platform to have an Intel AMT-enabled chipset, network hardware and software, as well as connection with a power source and a corporate network connection. Setup of Intel AMT requires configuration by the purchaser and may require scripting with the management console or further integration into existing security frameworks to enable certain functionality. It may also require modifications or implementation of new business processes. With regards to notebooks, Intel AMT may not be available or certain capabilities may be limited over a host OS-based VPN or when connecting wirelessly, on battery power, sleeping, hibernating or powered off. For more information, see www.intel.com/technology/platform-technology/intel-amt/.
