Issue

An error message stating: "File copying was not successful. Setup will exit." is received when attempting to install the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager from within Windows* using the executable.

Cause

This issue occurs when a language that is not supported by the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager is chosen for the operating system setting: "language for non-unicode applications". A language for this setting can be selected during operating system installation.

Note: The driver file, iastor.sys, is successfully installed; however, all of the remaining files are not.

Solution

This issue will be resolved in a future version of the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager.

In the meantime, in order to successfully install all Intel® Matrix Storage Manager files, you will need to do the following:

• Select a language supported by the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager for the "language for non-unicode applications" setting during operating system installation
