Intel® Turbo Memory improves the general performance of your computer with faster read/write access times and reduced boot-up times. It also increases the power efficiency of the mobile system by moving frequently accessed data over to the flash memory from the hard drive.

Intel Turbo Memory requires specific system components.

Mobile System Components

1. A system with one of the following controller hubs:
   • Intel® 82801HBM Serial ATA AHCI Controller (ICH8M)
   • Intel® 82801HEM Serial ATA AHCI Controller (ICH8M-E)
2. At least one Serial ATA hard drive
3. 1 GB or 512 MB of Intel® NAND Flash Memory

Desktop System Components

1. A system with an Intel® 82801IR Serial ATA Controller (ICH9R) in RAID or AHCI mode
2. At least one Serial ATA hard drive
3. 1 GB of Intel® NAND Flash Memory
