Recent Intel® chipsets include an AC'97 interface for integrated modems and audio. Integrated modems are implemented with a modem chip (codec) on the motherboard, a CNR (Communication and Networking Riser) card or an AMR (Audio and Modem Riser) card.
Integrated Modem Chip (modem down) Drivers from the system or motherboard manufacturer should be used. For technical support information, check with the system or motherboard manufacturer. If you have an Intel® motherboard, support information is available on the support page for the particular motherboard.
CNR and AMR Modems Drivers from the CNR or AMR card manufacturer should be used. For technical support information, check with the CNR or AMR card manufacturer. Intel does not manufacture any CNR or AMR modems.

Intel® Modem Chipsets Intel designs modem chipsets that are used in third party products. Drivers from the modem manufacturer should be used with these products.
