Intel® 82810 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH)
Do I need the Intel® 810/810E/810E2 chipset graphics drivers?

The graphics drivers for Intel® 810/810E/810E2 chipsets are required in order to enable all the features of the onboard graphics adapter, including the use of video modes higher than VGA mode (640x480 and 16 colors). They are also required in order to use hardware Direct3D* and OpenGL* 3D acceleration. If the system already has these capabilities, then some version of the graphics drivers are already installed. Upgrading the graphics drivers is not recommended if the graphic adapter is already working properly and you are not currently experiencing any issues.

Note: For information on Intel 810/810E/810E2 chipset-based systems that have a PCI video card installed, please refer to the following page: Can the Intel® 810/810E chipset graphics be disabled?

This applies to:
Intel® 810 Chipset Family
