Symptom(s):

Blade of Darkness* game causes Direct3D* error when configuring video.

Error: "Invalid page fault in module D3D.DLL"

Cause:
This is due to the detection of a second graphics controller.

Solution:

The following steps can be used to eliminate or minimize the issue(s) reported with the game:

1. Go into Device Manager (Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Device Manager).
2. Expand the "Display adapters" item.
3. Double-click the second graphics controller listed (Intel® 82830M Graphics Controller - 1).
4. Check the box labeled "Disable in this hardware profile."
5. Reboot the system.

Note:  These steps will disable any dual display modes.  Un-check the "Disable in this hardware profile" box and reboot to reverse this procedure.
