Symptom(s):

  • From Dusk Till Dawn* game shows an error message and does not run
  • Error: "DirectDraw (DDERR_INVALIDPIXELFORMAT): CDirectDrawWindow::CreateD3DDevice"

Cause:
The game requires a 24-bit (32-bit) Z-buffer. The Intel® 82810 and 82815 graphics controllers only support a 16-bit Z-buffer.

Solution:

This game requires features that are not currently implemented by the referenced graphics hardware. Determine which graphics features are implemented on a particular graphics platform.

Operating System:
Windows* 98, Windows* 98 SE, Windows* 2000, Windows* Me, Windows* XP Professional, Windows* XP Home Edition
