Solution:
The Intel® Extreme Graphics controllers are compatible with versions of Microsoft* DirectX* up to 9.0. They are also compatible with previous version of DirectX (8.x, 7.x, 6.x and 5.x).
To download graphics drivers with the latest DirectX support, go to Download Finder, select Graphics from the left-hand menu, then select your graphics controller from the list. After selecting your operating system, a list of available drivers is displayed. The latest driver will have a "latest available" image next to it.
