NASCAR* Racing 2002 Season game locks up in OpenGL* mode

Cause:
OpenGL* is not an officially supported renderer on any graphics card with this game. The company that makes the game only officially supports the Direct3D* renderer.

   This link will take you off of the Intel Web site. Intel does not control the content of the destination Web Site.

Solution:

The following steps can be used to eliminate or minimize the issue(s) reported with the game:

Use the Direct3D* renderer. The game works fine under Direct3D, so this mode is recommended in most cases.

If you want to use the OpenGL* renderer, use the following steps to workaround the lock up issue:
1) Set the Windows* desktop to 24-bit color.
2) Run the Configure 3D Graphics applet for the game and choose OpenGL, 800x600 at 24-bit color. Let it test the setting.
3) Run the game. It should start up fine at this setting.

Contact the game manufacturer for further updates, patches, or support.
