- Video and sound devices that are compatible with Microsoft DirectX* 6.1
- Quad speed (4x) or higher CD ROM drive
- 800x600 display, 16-bit color
- 16-bit Windows compatible sound device

Can I install the Intel® Play™ QX3™ Computer Microscope on?
- Microsoft Windows* 2000 or XP?
A software update is available for the Intel Play QX3 Computer Microscope that adds Windows 2000 and XP support.
- Microsoft Windows* Me?
Yes. Although, earlier versions of the microscope's software installation CD has only "Windows* 98" listed on the CD label, these older CDs can be installed and work fine on Windows Me. In fact, all versions of the microscope's software installation CD will install and work on Windows Me.
- Microsoft Windows* 95 or Windows NT*?
The microscope is not compatible with Windows 95 or Windows NT* operating systems.
Can I use a USB HUB with the microscope?
If you have a HUB that has its own external power supply, it will work with the microscope. Hubs that receive power only from the USB port on the computer do not supply enough power.
