Tested Memory
Memory testing has been performed under the following categories:
Advanced Tested Memory
†
Intel provides the Advanced environmental test procedures, test software and necessary hardware to an independent test lab to perform Advanced testing as requested by the memory vendors.
Memory tested by Computer Memory Test Labs (CMTL).
Note: This link will take you away from Intel's web site.
Basic Self Tested Memory
Intel provides the Basic test procedures and test software to memory manufacturers to perform testing on their own products. These products are then listed on the manufacturer's own website. Use the Basic Self Tested Memory links to visit their sites to obtain information on their products.
Intel Internal Tested Memory
Intel's has a limited amount of memory tested for the desktop board. These part numbers may not be readily available throughout the product life cycle.
System Memory Features
The Intel® Desktop Board D845HV has two or three DIMM sockets and support the following memory features:
- 3.3 V (only) 168-pin SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts
- Unbuffered single-sided or double-sided DIMMs
- Maximum total system memory*: 3 GB with 3 DIMMs, 2 GB with 2 DIMMs (using 512 MB technology); minimum total system memory: 32 MB
- 133 MHz SDRAM DIMMs only
- Serial Presence Detect (SPD)
- Suspend to RAM support
- ECC and non-ECC DIMMs
* The Intel® Desktop Board D845HV/D845WN have been designed to support DIMMs based on 512 Mbit technology for a maximum onboard capacity of up to 3 GB, but this technology has not been validated on this board.
Note: If ECC functionality is required, all installed DIMM modules must be ECC compliant.
The following table lists the supported DIMM configurations.
