Microsoft Windows XP* Service Pack 1 installs USB 2.0 drivers that result in an installation failure of the USB 2.0 patch and drivers from the Intel® Express Installer CD.
Note: The USB 2.0 drivers installed with Service Pack 1 are unaffected by this installation failure.
USB 2.0 drivers are installed by the Windows XP Service Pack and require no additional drivers to function correctly.
To avoid the "Installation Failed" error message, uncheck the USB 2.0 Patch and Driver before installing any items with Express Installer.
