Installation stops with PCI related error

Symptom(s):

On some Intel® Desktop Boards, the RHEL* 5 installation stops with a PCI related error.

Solution:

An additional boot parameter is required to boot during the initial installation of RHEL 5:

boot: linux pci=nommconf
