Microsoft Windows* 2003 Configuration Change Needed prior to Intel® Server Management Installation.

Intel® Server Management software is provided with most Intel server board products and is used to monitor the operating condition of the board and alert on abnormal circumstances. Version 5.5.5 of Intel® Server Management offers the first support for running under the Microsoft Windows* 2003 operating system.

As part of the Intel® Server Management software installation, several drivers are installed. These drivers are currently in the process of being submitted to Microsoft for certification, but have not yet completed that course of action. Windows 2003 has several options available to users in regards to installing and using drivers that have not completed the certification process. In order to successfully install Intel® Server Management software, users will need to change the operating system default configuration concerning driver installations.
