KVM Applet Fails to Load

Symptom(s):
When connecting to an Intel® Management Module Advanced Edition from Intel® Server Management 8.30 through KVM viewer, you will get errors such as "Connection Failure - Authentication Error" or java related errors in the java console output.

Root cause(s):
Only the files with "US" language options get installed when you install Intel® Server Management even through you install your Windows using your local language. So the issue is only if the region is not set to English (US).

Workaround(s):

  • Go into the kvmviewer folder C:\Program Files\Intel\Server Manager\kvmviewer and c:\program files\intel\server manager\admin\wwwroot\ism\objects.
  • Find the following files"common_resources_en_US.properties" and "OEMCustomization_en_US.properties" under the above folder. 
  • Rename these 2 files and replace the 'en_US'  to the string set in the 'locale recieved' line in the java error output.
This issue will be fixed in Intel® Server Management 8.40.
