The Intel® N440BX Server Board has three power connectors: two main power supply connectors and an Auxiliary Power
Connector for use in different chassis.
The smaller ATX power connector is near the processor module connectors and rotated 90 degrees. The larger
power connector located along the top edge of the board, in relation to installation in a chassis, is for either
the Intel® Columbus II or Intel® Astor chassis. Very close to the chassis power connector, also along
the edge of the board, is the Auxiliary Power Connector used in the chassis. Its purpose is to allow the power
supply to interface with hardware management controllers for power supply monitoring by the Baseboard Management
Controller and Intel® Server Control server management software.
CAUTION: It is very important to connect the appropriate power supply to the correct connector,
either ATX for a third-party chassis or the Intel® Columbus-II and Intel® Astor connectors for chassis.
Failure to do so may result in board damage.
