The Intel® R440LX Server Board uses non-buffered, ECC-capable, SDRAM DIMMs. A list of tested memory vendors and sizes is available for download.
ECC (Error Checking and Correcting) SDRAM is required on the R440LX server board. Non-parity SDRAMs do not meet the memory specification for this product and will not be tested. There also is no way to disable ECC in the BIOS or otherwise.
