With BIOS R34 or later, Intel® Matrix Storage Manager is supported on Intel® Server Board S3000AH(all SKUs) with Microsoft Windows* driver support only. Below are the steps on how to use Intel® Matrix Storage SATA RAID on Intel® Server Board S3000AH.
- Upgrade BIOS to R34 or later.
- Enter BIOS setup screen by F2.
- Select Advanced | IDE Controller, enable SATA RAID. The SATA RAID OPROM setting will be displayed.
- There are 2 options in SATA RAID OPROM*, “LSI” and “Intel Matrix Storage”. Choose “Intel Matrix Storage”.
- Save the change and exit BIOS by F10.
- Follow these instructions to use Intel® Matrix Storage Manager to build a "RAID Ready" system.
- Please download the appropriate Intel® Matrix Storage driver. For S3000AH, please choose below driver during driver installation.
- Intel(R) 82801GR/GH SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH7R/DH)
*Note: Please refer to Product User's Guide for detail information on RAID options supported by Intel® Server Board S3000AH.
Intel® Matrix Storage Manager provides software support for high-performance Serial ATA RAID 0 arrays, fault-tolerant Serial ATA RAID 1 arrays, high capacity and faulttolerant Serial ATA RAID 5 arrays, and high performance and fault-tolerant Serial ATA RAID 10 arrays on supported chipsets using select operating systems. Intel® Matrix Storage Manager is the software that enables Intel® Matrix Storage Technology.
