It is possible to encounter “ERROR 005: Update Failure” while attempting to update the BIOS and firmware with a Remote Management Module (RMM) installed in the server. The RMM causes a CheckSum event between file and firmware. If this error is encountered, remove the RMM from the server first and then complete the BIOS and firmware update. Once the update has completed, the RMM can be re-installed into the server.
