CD-ROM and/or Floppy Drive Boot Failure When Using Serial ATA RAID

Symptom(s):
In a few minor instances, you may encounter a boot failure to CD-ROM and/or floppy drive. After using the Adaptec* HostRAID Configuration Utility to enable a Serial ATA RAID array, the system fails to boot to either a CD-ROM or floppy drive.

Cause:

Required a BIOS change for the Serial ATA controller.

Solution:
This issue was fixed in BIOS Production release P14. If you have encountered this issue we encourage you to download the latest BIOS (P14 or higher).
