PXE and SATARAID Configuration Errors [PDF]

Intel® Server Board S875WP1-E, AA# CXXXXX-306, was built with an alternate network adapter EEPROM at location U7B1. The part has been approved as a like part and was expected to have identical performance. Two problems have been encountered with this part change.

  1. The SATARAID.EXE version 1.0.0.0 is not able to write to the EEPROM to configure the SATA controller for RAID or SATA modes.
  2. The Intel Boot Agent (IBA) 1.2.10 displays the following error during network booting and will not connect to a PXE server: PXE05: The Lan configuration is corrupt or has not been initialized. The boot agent can not be continued.
