Slow Integrated RAID Performance Due to Incorrect Physical Drive Settings

In rare cases when creating RAID array using integrated SATA RAID controller, physical drive Write Cache and Read Ahead settings may appear to be set by default to incorrect values. This can result in slow RAID performance.

In most cases for achieving maximum RAID performance Write Cache and Read Ahead values must be set to On for all physical drives.

These settings can be accessed through the menus of RAID setup console:
Objects » Physical Drive » Port #N » Write Cache
Objects » Physical Drive » Port #N » Read Ahead
