With BIOS 10.x or later versions, the user is unable to enter the SATA embedded RAID BIOS console to configure an array. This is a known issue related to the OpRom limitation of the newer BIOS previous to 10.x
A workaround has been identified for the issue
- Use BIOS 9.x or later which is available for download here.
or
- Go into BIOS by pressing <F2>. Disable the onboard, NIC ROM, Quiet Boot. This would allow some OpRom to be freed up. It would also allow accessing the embedded SATA RAID console. After configuring the RAID array, the disabled devices can be re-enabled.
There is no fix planned for this issue.
