Current version of the RAID firmware cannot support cache modules larger than 512 MB. If a memory module larger than 512 MB is installed, it will be recognized as 512 MB.
This is a firmware limitation. It will be addressed in future firmware releases and below Tested Memory List Reports will be updated to include qualified 1GB memory modules.
The Intel® RAID Controllers SRCSASRB, SRCSATAWB, SRCSASBB8I and SRCSASLS4I controllers are NOT affected by this. These controllers use embedded memory that is not upgradeable to larger sizes.
