Symptom(s):
When the Intel® RAID Controller SRCS16 with firmware 713H is installed with the Intel® Server Board SE7520BD2 BIOS P05, the system will not successfully power on.
- Power-on Post will hang showing "WAIT...", or hang if you press <F2> trying to enter SETUP menu.
Cause:
Intel® RAID Controller SRCS16 firmware 713H or earlier will not work with Intel® Server Board SE7520BD2 BIOS P05.
Solution
Upgrade SRCS16's firmware to 713K or newer before you upgrade Intel® Server Board SE7520BD2's BIOS to P05 or later
- If you forget that, temporarily remove the SRCS16, and disable both NICs in the BIOS. This will allow you to update the firmware on the SRCS16, and the NICs can be re-enabled when the update is completed.
