Symptom(s):
On Intel® RAID Controller SRCS16 or SRCS28X, hard disk cache setting may change after the hard disk is moved from one SATA port to another.
Cause:
On Intel® RAID Controller SRCS16 and SRCS28X, the controller set the hard disk cache setting based on which port the hard disk is connected to and keep the settings in NVRAM. This means that the hard disk cache setting on the port will be kept even if you reboot the system or replace the hard disk.
