The Intel® Server Board SE7501WV2 is designed to support one or two Intel® Xeon® Processor(s) with with up to 2 MB integrated L3 cache.

Important information when integrating an Intel® Server Board SE7501WV2 on an Intel® Server Chassis SR1300:
When integrating a boxed SE7501WV2 into a SR1300 server chassis, a boxed Intel® Xeon® processor 1U SKU should be used.
The processor product code has a "U" indicated at the end of the code. The processor has the necessary 1U
heatsink that would fit in a 1U chassis.
Note: Please do not use the foam pad
included with the boxed 1U processor.
Important information when integrating an Intel® Server Board SE7501WV2 on an Intel® Server Chassis SR2300:
When integrating a boxed processor SKU using the above combination, please do not use the supplied
PWT on the boxed processor. The SR2300 has a supplied airduct which has been tested to thermally
cool the processors. Please refer to the SR2300 quick start guide
for more information on how to integrate the processor.
In a dual processor configuration, Intel requires that the same processor speed,
cache size, system bus speed and stepping be used. Mixing processor speeds is not a
supported or a recommended configuration.
