Using the 2.33 firmware for the Intel® RAID Controller SRCMR on the Intel® Server Board SHG2 hangs the Stor Con utility upon exiting the utility. It leaves a blinking cursor on the screen and the user has to reboot the system for normal operation.
The issue can be resolved by updating the SRCMR's firmware to 2.34, please also ensure that the utilities (StorCon+ and drivers) are updated. Please find the updated utilities and drivers here.
The SHG2's bios and firmware should also be updated, please find the latest system update
