The Intel® Server Platform SRPL8 supports certain configurations of the Intel® Pentium® III Xeon® processors
(700 MHz and 900 MHz) with a front side bus (FSB) of 100 MHz. It does not support Pentium III Xeon processors
that have a front side bus (FSB) of 133 MHz. The Intel Pentium III Xeon processors 500 MHz and 550 MHz are
not supported on the SRPL8 platform.
Note: Intel® Server Platform SRPL8 only supports the high voltage (5V/12V) version of
Pentium III Xeon processors running at 700 MHz and 900MHz.
The low voltage (2.8V) version Pentium III Xeon processors are not supported.

The processor core stepping can be determined using the Intel® Processor Frequency ID utility with the
Pentium III Xeon Processor Quick Reference Guide.
Run the Sensor Data Update Utility when changing processor speeds or types, as this ensures that the server management software has the right values for the processors that are installed.
