The Intel® Entry Storage System SS4000-E is manufactured with 256MB 32-bit DDR SDRAM Memory. The SS4000-E operating system has been optimized for use with 256MB memory. Little to no performance gain would be seen by upgrading the system memory.
If memory needs to be replaced for reasons other than warranty, a list of compatible 256MB memory modules can be found in the Tested Hardware and Operating Systems document for the SS4000-E.
