Intel® Entry Storage System SS4000-E
Email aerting sends carbon copy emails

Up to and including firmware revision 1.3 Build 524, when configuring the Intel® Entry Storage System SS4000-E to send out email notifications for system errors or warnings, the system sends carbon copy emails to:
admin1@company.com
admin2@company.com

These are "invalid" placeholder email addresses. There is no facility within the Web User Interface utility to delete these carbon copy email addresses. Within the Web User Interface utility you can only provide, up to three primary (To:) email recipients.

With firmware revision 1.4 Build 709, these placeholder email addresses have been removed from the SS4000-E system email configuration file.

NOTE: Upgrading from a previous version of the firmware to firmware revision 1.4 Build 709 is a “data destructive” process due to the new structure of the firmware and supporting disk drives greater than 500GB.

This applies to:
Intel® Entry Storage System SS4000-E
