Hyper-Threading Support

The Intel® Server Platform SPSH4 and Intel® Server Platform SRSH4 use the Intel® Xeon® processor MP with Hyper-Threading Technology. Hyper-Threading Technology enables multithreaded server software applications to execute threads in parallel with each processor in a server platform.

When Hyper-Threading Technology is enabled in the system BIOS, POST reports the number of virtual processors in the system rather than the actual number of physical processors.
