When configuring an Intel® Server Platform based system with adapters containing option ROMs an error message may be
displayed during the boot process similar to the following:
ERROR Expansion ROM not initialized - PCI Mass Storage Controller in slot 3
This issue can be observed with as few as one adapter card installed in the system.
