For proper Intel® Storage System SSR212CC operation, you must install the Enclosure Management Software for the installed operating system.
The Enclosure Management Software controls the system fans and Front Panel LEDs. The Enclosure Management Software also monitors the hard disk drives.
The server board firmware does not need to be updated as this is installed during the system manufacture. However, the Enclosure Management Software is a utility that is installed after the operating system and must be installed at system integration for proper operation.

At this time there is no Intel® Storage System SSR212CC Enclosure Management Software for Microsoft* Windows* Storage Server 2003, R2. There is Enclosure Management Software for Microsoft* Windows* Storage Server 2003 (No Release Candidate).
