Intel recently discovered that some SSR212MAs shipped out the warehouse were loaded with the wrong firmware version, 815B, on the SCRS28X RAID controller.

There is no adverse effect when systems are loaded with the new 815B firmware. However, if 814G firmware is needed the SRCS28X RAID Controllers can be reflashed to 814G firmware by applying the 814G-2.20.4.8_20060927.install file. You can obtain a copy of the 814G firmware and release notes on support.intel.com under the SSR212MA product firmware page. Please read the release notes in their entirety before applying the downgrade.
