Intel® PRO/1000 MT Desktop Adapter Installation Problems

Installation Problems

On certain chipsets, the Intel® Boot Agent flash on the Intel® PRO/1000 MT Desktop Adapter causes installation problems.

To solve this problem, disable the flash:

  1. Boot to DOS*
  2. Run IBAUTIL.EXE -FD (Found under the Bootagnt directory on your CD-ROM or contained in the PROUTIL download on the Intel Boot agent site.
  3. Reboot
If you wish to use the Intel Boot Agent, flashing with the current downloadable flash (Version 4.1.09_1.1.15) or later on the Intel Boot Agent site will solve this problem.
  1. Boot to DOS
  2. Run IBAUTIL.EXE -UP
  3. Reboot
