The Intel PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter will only operate as an iSCSI interface. It is not possible to use it as a standard network adapter.
Can the Intel PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter TCP/IP offload engine be used to offload the TCP/IP protocol stack for my regular network adapter as well as the iSCSI interface?
The TCP/IP offload capability of the PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter cannot be used for any other function or for any interface other than the iSCSI interface itself.

Yes, it does support CHAP, including mutual authentication..

No, it does not support IPSec.
In Windows*, The Microsoft iSCSI initiator service will allow you to select and configure IPSec, but the adapter and its drivers do not support it and will not negotiate an IPSec connection regardless of the settings in the Microsoft iSCSI initiator service.
Does the Intel PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter support jumbo frames?
Yes, it does support jumbo frames. The only jumbo frame size supported is 9K.
How many TCP/IP connections does the Intel PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter support per session?
The Intel PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter supports one connection per session.
How many target logical units can the Intel PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter support?
The PRO/1000 T IP Storage adapter, using the release 3.0 software, will support up to 40 logical units in Red Hat* Linux, and up to 255 per adapter in Windows* Server 2003, Windows 2000 and Windows XP Professional.
Are there any drivers for 64-bit operating systems?
No, not at this time.
