Intel® Boot Agent
Boot Agent is configured to boot from the network, but boots from the hard drive

As far as boot options and boot sequence are concerned, the Intel® Boot Agent will always defer to the BIOS of the computer containing the Intel Boot Agent capable network card.

If the Intel Boot Agent is not the first device in the BIOS boot configuration, it is likely that the PC or server will boot from the hard drive, if an OS is installed, even if the configuration setting on the Intel Boot Agent itself is network boot.

To configure a network boot using the Intel Boot Agent, please ensure that network boot is the first boot option in the system BIOS.

This applies to:
Intel® Boot Agent
