When performing command line install Windows* installer stops working

When performing a command line install of Intel® PROSet for Windows* Device Manager using msiexec /i PROSETDX.msi /qn /norestart, you might receive a message saying "Windows installer has stopped working."

If you choose to "close the program," the installation will complete, and Intel PROSet for Windows Device Manager will function normally.

NOTES:

  • This issue only happens when installing 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows Vista* or Windows Server* 2008 using software version 12.4.
  • This issue does not happen when using software version 13.0 or later.
