Identify your network adapter and driver on Windows Vista*

The network adapter property sheet in Windows Vista* provides information mabout the network adapter and driver on the computer.

Use one of the following methods to access information on the network adapter, driver version, and Intel® PROSet version.


Device Manager

  1. Click Start » Control Panel.
  2. Click System and Maintenance.
  3. Click Device Manager.
  4. Click the + symbol in front of Network Adapters to expand the section.
  5. Right-click the network adapter.
  6. Click Properties .
  7. Click the Driver tab to see the driver version.
  8. Click the Link Speed tab to see the Intel® PROSet version. NOTE: The Link Speed tab will not appear if Intel PROSet is not installed.


My Computer Icon

  1. Click Start » Computer.
  2. Click Manage and click Continue.
  3. Click Device Manager.
  4. Click the + symbol in front of Network Adapters to expand the section.
  5. Right-click the network adapter.
  6. Click Properties.
  7. Click the Driver tab to see the driver version.
  8. Click the Link Speed tab to see the Intel PROSet version. NOTE: The Link Speed tab will not appear if Intel PROSet is not installed.


Network and Sharing Center

  1. Click the Start icon » Control Panel.
  2. Click Network and Internet.
  3. Click Network and Sharing Center.
  4. Right-click network Network Connection.
  5. Click Properties.
  6. Click Configure.
  7. Click the Driver tab to see the driver version.
  8. Click the Link Speed tab to see the Intel PROSet version. NOTE: The Link Speed tab will not appear if Intel PROSet is not installed.
or

  1. Click the Start icon » Network.
  2. Click Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Right-click network Network Connection.
  4. Click Properties.
  5. Click Configure.
  6. Click the Driver tab to see the driver version.
  7. Click the Link Speed tab to see the Intel PROSet version. NOTE: The Link Speed tab will not appear if Intel PROSet is not installed.


System Tray Icon

  1. Right-click the network system tray icon (the icon that displays two computer monitors).
  2. Click Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Click Manage network networks.
  4. Click Adapter Properties.
  5. Click Configure.
  6. Click the Driver tab to see the driver version.
  7. Click the Link Speed tab to see the Intel PROSet version. NOTE: The Link Speed tab will not appear if Intel PROSet is not installed.
