Can I use Intel® IPP in a Java* application? Yes, you can call Intel IPP functions in your Java application by using the Java* Native Interface (JNI*). Please refer to http://java.sun.com/
† for information on JNI.
Are there any Intel IPP Java examples I can test? We provide sample code that demonstrate how to use Intel IPP libraries in the Java environment. This sample code can be downloaded from Intel IPP Development Samples. Please read the readme.htm for instructions on how to build this sample.
Is there any performance overhead when calling Intel IPP functions from the JNI*? There is some overhead associated with JNI use, especially when the input data size is small. Combining several functions into one JNI call and using managed memory will help improve the overall performance.
