Installing the Intel® C++ or Fortran Compiler for Windows from the CD Image

If you disabled the "autorun" feature of the CD drive when trying to install the Intel® C++ or Fortran Compiler 9.1 for Windows from a CD, the installation will not automatically start.

If necessary, please choose one of the following two alternative installation methods:

  1. Type <CD drive>:\Launch.exe /D INSTMAN in the Start » Run » Open box or from a command window to start the installation process.

  2. Follow the instructions to register your CD product to receive one year of free support services.

  3. Install the individual components directly from one of the subfolders oulined below:
    If you install on an IA-32-based system:
    Double-click on <CD root>\IA32\setup.exe to start the installation.

    If you install on an Intel® EM64T-based system:
    Double-click on <CD root>\EM64T\setup.exe to start the installation.

    If you install on an Intel® Itanium®-based system:
    Double-click on <CD root>\Itanium\setup.exe to start the installation.

For more detailed information about the installation steps, please refer to the "INSTALL.htm" in the root directory of the CD.


Uninstalling

  1. Access the Intel Fortran Compiler from the Add/Remove Programs Wizard in the Control Panel, and then click Next.

  2. Click Remove, and then click Next.

  3. Click OK or Remove to uninstall.
