Supported Audio Formats

This document contains a list of supported audio formats for the Intel® Audio Players.

Intel® Pocket Concert™ Audio Player currently supports the following audio formats:

MP3*
  • At 11kHz sampling rate, these bit rates (in Kbps) are supported: 8, 16, 18, 20, 24, 32
  • At 22kHz sampling rate, these bit rates (in Kbps) are supported: 40, 48, 56, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 160
  • At 44kHz sampling rate, these bit rates (in Kbps) are supported: 96, 112, 128, 160, 192, 224, 256, 320
WMA (Windows Media)*
  • At 22kHz sampling rate, these bit rates in Kbps are supported: 16, 20, 22, 32
  • At 32kHz sampling rate, these bit rates (in Kbps) are supported: 20, 32, 40, 48
  • At 44kHz sampling rate, these bit rates (in Kbps) are supported: 64, 80, 96, 128, 160, 192
Intel® Personal Audio Player 3000 currently supports the following audio formats:
MP3*
  • At 11kHz sampling rate, these bit rates (in Kbps) are supported: 8, 16, 18, 20, 24, 32
  • At 22kHz sampling rate, these bit rates (in Kbps) are supported: 40, 48, 56, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 160
  • At 44kHz sampling rate, these bit rates (in Kbps) are supported: 96, 112, 128, 160, 192, 224, 256, 320
WMA (Windows Media)*
  • At 22kHz sampling rate, these bit rates in Kbps are supported: 16, 20, 22, 32
  • At 32kHz sampling rate, these bit rates (in Kbps) are supported: 20, 32, 40, 48
  • At 44kHz sampling rate, these bit rates (in Kbps) are supported: 64, 80, 96, 128, 160, 192
If the bit rate and sample rate of the song(s) you have are not one of the above supported formats, the song may not transfer to the player OR it may transfer to the player but get skipped when you try to play it. If you have a song you are unsure of, MusicMatch Jukebox* allows you to convert files to different bit rates. See MusicMatch's online help for instructions on using this feature.

Note: The following audio formats are not supported by Intel® Audio Players:
  • MP3 Pro
  • Audible.com
  • WAV
  • Ogg Vorbis
