Intel® Pocket Concert™ Audio Player
Creating MP3 or WMA Files From Your Music CDs

There are many kinds of digital audio playing software choices (or players) out there. We'll use MusicMatch* Jukebox as our example to show you how to turn CD tracks into digital audio. MusicMatch Jukebox is included with your Intel® Audio Player.

Here are the steps involved in 'ripping' CD tracks with MusicMatch Jukebox:

  1. Click the Rec (Recorder) button on the Player, or choose the menu Options » View » Show Recorder to open the Recorder screen.

  2. Insert an audio CD in your CD-ROM drive. CDDB* will read your CD and attempt to return track information.

Note: You must be connected to the Internet for this step. If successful, CDDB will fill in the Track Name, Artist Name, Album name, and Track Number.

  3. Check the boxes next to the tracks that you wish to record to MP3 files, and click the Start button. MusicMatch will start to record MP3 files from the music CD.

  4. At the bottom of the Recorder window you will see a progress indicator. When complete the indicator will be at 100%, and the track will be added to your Music Library.
For complete details and additional information about ripping CDs, refer to MusicMatch Jukebox Online Help. Click Help » MusicMatch Jukebox Help » MusicMatch Jukebox Components » Recorder.

Other player software will have similar steps for recording CD audio. Refer to their online help for information.
