Symptom(s):
- Error about missing keyboard during bootup after PS/2 keyboard has been removed
- Error: "No keyboard found"
- Error: "Keyboard error"
Cause: USB Legacy Support is not enabled in the BIOS
Solution: Check for and enable USB Legacy Support (you'll need a PS/2 mouse and keyboard to do this). If you need assistance with modifying the BIOS, contact your computer manufacturer.
If the BIOS does not have a setting for USB Legacy Support, obtain and install a BIOS upgrade from your computer manufacturer and then check the new BIOS for the setting. If an upgraded BIOS also does not have the setting, you will need to leave a PS/2 keyboard plugged into the computer along with the Intel® USB keyboard.
