Intel® Wireless Series Keyboard

  • Using the CD Player keys with Windows* Millennium Edition
In order for the CD Player keys to work on a system running Windows Millennium Edition, a multimedia application compatible with the operating system, such as Windows* Media Player, must have focus.

  • No CD Player key functions are shown on-screen with Windows* Millennium Edition

When using the Intel® Wireless Series Keyboard on a system running Windows Millennium Edition, the keyboard's multimedia functions are not shown on-screen. The ability to view multimedia status depends on the multimedia program, such as Windows Media Player.

  • Slow response or no response when using the keyboard in MS-DOS* mode on a Compaq* Presario 5600

Due to a limitation in the Compaq Presario 5600 BIOS, you may experience slow response or no response when using the Intel® Wireless Series Keyboard in MS-DOS mode. For example, when pressing and holding any key on the keyboard, you may see only one character on-screen. A BIOS upgrade from the system manufacturer may correct this problem.

Intel® Wired Mouse

  • System locks up during PS/2 installation

In order to install the Intel® PS/2 mouse driver, the existing mouse driver must be stopped and the Intel® mouse driver started while Windows is running. Some systems may lock up during this change. To correct this problem, obtain a BIOS upgrade from your system's manufacturer.

If no BIOS upgrade is available, your Intel® Wired Mouse will continue to function as a basic wheel mouse, however, any special software features will be unavailable.
