This document lists the Setup steps for installing the Intel® Wireless Peripherals. Be sure to follow these steps exactly in this order for best results. More detailed instructions are found in the Installation Guide that came with your device.
Important: Be sure to keep your old PS/2 mouse or keyboard connected to your computer until the Setup instructions tell you to disconnect it.

- Install the Intel® Wireless Series Base Station software first.

- Restart your computer, if prompted.

- While the computer is on, connect the Base Station to a USB port on your computer.

- Connect the power cord to the back of the Base Station and plug it into an electrical outlet.

- Follow all prompts in the Windows* Hardware Wizard (you may be asked for your Windows CD).

- Verify that the Base Station is connected: click Start > Programs > Intel® Wireless Series > Intel® Wireless Series Control Panel. You should see the Base Station picture in full color.

Intel® Wireless Series Keyboard Accessory More detailed instructions are found in the Installation Guide that came with your device.
- Be sure you have first installed and verified the Wireless Series Base Station. The wireless keyboard will not work without it.

- Install the Intel® Wireless Series Keyboard software.

- Restart your computer, if prompted.

- Insert three AA batteries in the Wireless Series Keyboard.

- Press the connect button on the battery cover of the Wireless Series Keyboard (the connect light flashes rapidly when the Base Station detects the keyboard).

- Press the connect button on the front of the Base Station (the connect light will flash slowly).

- The Windows Hardware Wizard appears to configure the keyboard. Follow all prompts in the wizard. You may be asked for your Windows and/or Keyboard CD.

- Verify that the Keyboard is connected: press the round button on the keyboard directly above the Scroll Lock key to open the Wireless Series Control Panel. If it does not open, refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Installation Guide.

Intel® Wireless Series Mouse Accessory More detailed instructions are found in the Installation Guide that came with your device.
- Be sure you have first installed and verified the Wireless Series Base Station. The wireless mouse will not work without it.

- Install the Intel® Wireless Series Mouse software.

- Restart your computer, if prompted.

- Insert three AAA batteries in the Wireless Series Mouse.

- Press the connect button on the bottom of the Wireless Series Mouse (the connect light flashes rapidly when the Base Station detects the mouse).

- Press the connect button on the front of the Base Station (the connect light will flash slowly).

- The Windows Hardware Wizard appears to configure the mouse. Follow all prompts in the wizard. You may be asked for your Windows and/or Mouse CD.

- Verify that the Mouse is connected properly by moving it. If the pointer on the computer screen moves, it is properly connected. If it does not move, refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Installation Guide.

Intel® Wireless Series Gamepad Accessory More detailed instructions are found in the Installation Guide that came with your device.
- Be sure you have first installed and verified the Wireless Series Base Station. The wireless gamepad will not work without it.

- Install the Intel® Wireless Series Gamepad software.

- Restart your computer, if prompted.

- Insert three AAA batteries in the Wireless Series Gamepad.

- Press the connect button on the bottom of the Wireless Series Gamepad (the connect light flashes rapidly when the Base Station detects the gamepad).

- Press the connect button on the front of the Base Station (the connect light will flash slowly).

- The Windows Hardware Wizard appears to configure the gamepad. Follow all prompts in the wizard. You may be asked for your Windows and/or Gamepad CD.

- Verify that the Gamepad is connected. Press the "Mouse" button on the gamepad and then press the D-Pad. If the mouse pointer moves on the computer screen, the gamepad is working. If it does not move, refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Installation Guide.

Note: If you have more gamepads to install, simply repeat steps 4 through 8 above. You do not need to install the software more than once.
