Compaq* iPAQ H3600 Series With ROM Version 1.69 Does Not Recognize the CFM56G

If the Compaq* iPaq has a ROM version of 1.69 installed, the Xircom® CompactCard Modem 56 is not recognized. Trying to install the card will produce an "Unknown Manufacturer" message. Compaq is aware of this issue and has posted an update † file to correct it.
